Eric Stokan, Ph.D.
Economic Development/Early Childhood & Disabilities
Dr. Stokan joined the Center for Urban Studies as a Research Associate in 2019 after having led a new economic development unit as a Research Assistant between 2008 and 2010. Eric’s research expertise is in policy analysis and program evaluation of community and economic development initiatives. He has published articles on regional economic development and manufacturing, business incubation, the Earned Income Tax Credit, and governance of community and economic development. Eric’s research employs quantitative and qualitative measures to answer questions regarding whether particular economic development incentives lead to equitable economic growth and why local and state governments utilize specific economic development policies.
